Huron County tax gains contrast with state decline
State Treasurer John D. Herbert reports Huron County taxes for Aug 6 to Aug 19, 1967 totaled 38980, up from 36413 in 1966 while state sales and use tax fell 1.34 million. Year to date receipts through Aug 19, 1967 stood at 55.1 million, down 3 percent from 1966. Willard council approves Crestwood Hillcrest drive work despite bids 15 percent above estimates.
