Wakeman Truck Stop Noise Sparks Local Suit
Neighbors Johnny O Bry an and the Chases sue Wakeman restaurant owner Shirley Sterk and the village over trucks idling on the Sterk lot. They cite noise dust and fumes from trucks with motors running, disruptions to sleep and safety, and want Clark Street restricted to cars, posted motor-off rules, and the lot kept clean. The case, in Huron County Common Pleas Court, is before a referee with a hearing planned.
