A Trans World Airlines jet on a Rome to Athens route was hijacked today and diverted to Beirut Lebanon. The aircraft carried 113 passengers including Americans from Los Angeles origin and the pilot reported a Beirut landing at 6 01 p m Beirut time.
North Korea claims the three downed but alive crewmen Capt Crawford Pooler Ga Spec 4 Hofstatter Lowpoint Ill and WO Leopke Richmond Ind are wounded and expects release on Sept 18, as disclosed at Panmunjom during talks with allied and Communist officials.
Jack Peterson owner of the Chalet Inn in Wapakoneta Ohio donated a 15 acre tract beside the restaurant to host the Neil Armstrong Aerospace Museum. The site lies at an Interstate 75 interchange on the town edge. Peterson said the museum will not hurt the Inn and stressed civic motives.

In Hyannis Mass Joan Kennedy wife of Senator Edward M Kennedy suffered her third miscarriage on Thursday night. She was reported feeling good today but not discharged from Cape Cod Hospital. Kennedy rushed back from Nantucket to be by her side.
Seven year old Dean Nardecchia fell 12 feet from the high diving board at Norwalk Municipal Pool and struck the concrete apron. He was treated in an ambulance and released. no hospitalization. Also, Western Reserve School District shifts start dates with Sept. 8 for grades five and six due to incomplete middle school toilets.
