Norwalk Bans Residential Truck Parking Weights 7500 lbs and Up
Norwalk city council approved new rules restricting truck parking on residential streets. Vehicles with commercial or no plates weighing 7500 pounds or more empty may park only in emergencies, exempting recreational vehicles. The vote followed planning commission input to raise the limit from 7000 pounds. In other action, the council financed 12000 dollars to the Huron County Airport Authority for operating funds and a lawsuit settlement involving Ron Zoellner. A plan to vacate a 20 foot land strip by the IGA lot on Milan Avenue was approved for next meeting consideration, with mayor announcing a second adjacent strip sale today.
