Norwalk Farmer Dies After Cave-In at Ridge Road Farm
Alfred G. DeLonge 52 died from internal injuries after a cave-in while digging a tile trench Sunday afternoon on his Ridge Road farm. He was pulled from the ditch by his son Howard and others, then taken to Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital where he died at 11 p.m. He lived in Norwalk 14 years and was a general farmer and Bellevue construction worker. Surviving: wife Selma, son Howard, daughter Etta Mae James, grandson Christian James, and mother Bertha DeLong. sister Cleo Pasch had died recently. Services Thursday at Heaston-Hile Funeral Home with burial in Milan Cemetery.
