The second annual CBers Jamboree will run Saturday and Sunday at the Huron County Fairgrounds with displays entertainment games camping and concessions. Free hearing tests by Eastern Ohio Hearing Services Aug 27 from 1 to 7 PM in a mobile center in front of the courthouse. A GOP women meeting Aug 27 at Grange Hall North Fairfield at 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM led by Mrs. Florence Morris and Mrs. Wm Carpenter.

County expands special education across five districts

Six Killed In Head On Turnpike Crash In Pennsylvania
A head on collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike killed six people and injured three others. The car driven by Navy reservist Jerry Tinsley 18 of Cleveland vaulted a median divider and struck the other vehicle. Victims include four Cleveland teens Parnell Days 17 Morris Lanier 18 Robert Price 18 and Isaac Resnick 50 Brooklyn NY plus Frank Heintz 25 Center ND. Injured were Heintz wife Lenore 24 and daughter Kyle 3 and Kenneth Francis 15 of Cleveland. One truck driver James Herbert 45 of Selinsgrove Pa was seriously hurt while viewing the crash.
