Memorial Lake Park hosted the city employee family picnic with a reserved shelter. Fire Chief Kenneth Link attended along with Fireman David Caprara who handed out free ice cream to attendees of all ages.
Jurors were drawn in Norwalk Saturday for the September through December term of court. 240 names were drawn for Common Pleas court, 35 for the grand jury, 35 for juvenile and probate court, 20 for Bellevue Municipal Court, and 95 for county courts. Juror commissioners Morley Price and Edgar Tucker oversaw the draw in Clerk Dana Call’s office.
Gunvor Anderson an Ameri can Field Service student will spend the 1966 67 school year in New London with the Biltons family. She will arrive in Cleveland at 6 a m Friday and reach New London later the same day. The Biltons say they received a letter from Gunvor mailed from Stockholm before leaving. The local AFS chapter asks for contributions to cover its 750 share and needs about 300 more by September 1 per Charles Moyer the finances director.
