Three police officers assisted at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital Saturday evening restraining a patient who had fainted after mixing beer with prescribed medicine. He was unconscious on a hospital cot but refused treatment and was released.
Norwalk Furniture Corp will pay the city 10000 toward sewer connection charges after a dispute with the city. Mayor Wayne Goodsite described the talks as aimed at fact finding and resolution. President Jack Gerken supported paying the $10000, set at 250 per acre for 40 acres east of Norwalk. The city will bill him. Three parking meters will be placed before the Post Office and city hall meters switched to one hour.
Barnett Wade Garrison, 34, the third husband of Candace Messler Garrison, plummeted from the third floor roof of the Houston home to the back patio. He suffered head injuries, fractured hip and collapsed lung. police sought a clear motive as Mrs. Garrison, accompanied by her attorney, was questioned. A pistol with two loaded clips was found nearby. a butler found him and notified authorities. The incident left detectives unsure how he ended up on the roof and noted marks and bent gutter wire at the impact site.
