Huron County Welfare Director Grant M Walls urged residents to join the effort to stop child abuse and neglect in Ohio. He said citizens should contact the county welfare department if they suspect abuse and named Mildred C Ward, the Children's Protective Supervisor, as the contact.
Roland Younce 26 of Willard pleaded guilty to assault and battery for an incident with Vickie King on July 23. He received a suspended 60 day jail term, two years probation, and was ordered to pay court costs at Common Pleas Court.
