Coon Hunters Host National Event in Greenwich
The Greenwich Rural Coon Hunters Club will host the 32nd annual event with the world championship hunt at Huron County Fairgrounds in Norwalk October 8 to 13. Over 500 dogs entered, 10 percent eliminated first night, half still running after night two. entry is 40 dollars plus 10 per night, last two nights free. Spectators welcome at the fairgrounds. hunting cast spectators barred. Square dancing each night at the 4-H building with Herb and Barb and the Country Persuaders performing 9 p.m. to midnight.

New London Receives $12,500 for Wastewater Plans
New London village officials accept an interest free loan of $12,500 from the Emergency Village Capital Improvement Rotary Fund, administered by the Ohio EPA, to cover planning and engineering costs for wastewater system improvements. The loan must be repaid when construction begins, or in 1981 if the project is not pursued.

Mutual aid pact allows Seneca ambulances into Huron County
The Huron County Commissioners approved a mutual aid agreement with Seneca County permitting ambulances from Seneca to enter Huron for assistance or patient transport. The county will not bear financial responsibility for ambulances entering or passing through. MONROEVILLE community picnic set for Sept 2 at Marsh Field hosted by the Monroeville Historical Society with St. Joseph's Altar Society providing cake and refreshments. A horseshoe tournament, micro-mini tractor pull, baseball game, tennis, and multiple music acts mark the day with a dance on the courts from 8 to 10:30 p.m.
