Two Ohio troopers shot in UPI report near Chillicothe

An Ohio Highway Patrol trooper was shot in the hip along U.S. 23 near Chillicothe and a high speed chase followed through Pickaway County as officers pursued two young suspects in an older blue car with a shot out rear window. The trooper was treated at Ross County Medical Center. This marks the third trooper shot this summer after two earlier incidents near Piqua.

Malpractice suit filed against New London Hospital

James Bronner sues New London Hospital and chief surgeon Dr Leonard Faymore in Summit County Court over the death of his mother Sadie Bronner three weeks after leg amputation. The suit cites negligent surgical procedures and post operative care from June 18 to July 23, 1978. Welfare officials had flagged questionable care and post hospital planning and said the patient was released to a nursing home unable to provide adequate care.
