Sub-standard housing hardships in Huron County families
Mrs. Minnie Opsal, twice divorced with three children, lives in a deteriorating Norwalk home with a leaking roof and rotting foundation. Welfare barriers and landlord neglect trap families in temporary housing while a Negro couple, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, struggle to find a decent place and end up in a DIY house. Desperate residents occupy chicken coops, shacks, or drafty trailers to escape the elements.
