Humphrey urges farm production rise as surpluses fade
Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey told Missouri farmers the age of crop surpluses is nearly over and production must expand. He warned a gap exists between farm prices and food costs, urging more acreage be brought out of mothballs and noting rising bread and milk prices amid calls for price controls. Seven Area Crashes Leave Four Hurt On Weekend
Seven weekend accidents were reported by the Norwalk Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. Four people were injured including Clara Goostree of rural Norwalk who is in critical condition and others treated at local hospitals. The incidents occurred along routes 250 20 and 99 and Perrin Road near Norwalk with various vehicles including a tractor trailer and three pigs struck in one incident.

John E Wise president of Citizens National Bank will chair the 1966 Nor walk Area United Fund campaign. A United Fund board meeting to review the Budget Committee report and set the goal is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. next Monday at Elkis Country Club. Wise has 60 years in banking and has served as executive VP of Union Bank and Savings Co Bellevue and president of Willard United Bank. He became Citizens National Bank president in 1951 and is active in Masonic groups scouting and Red Cross. He is a past Ohio Bankers Association president and lives at 152 E Main St with Mrs Wise.

Uhlmans Move Under Way After Building Sale

The building at Main Street Whittlesey Avenue is sold to A B Mann who will relocate Holmans Jewelry Store there after remodeling. Litter Fines Two Men Cited After Beer Tossing
Police charged James L. Moser aged 18 of North Fairfield and Thomas A. Fishbaugh aged 21 of Greenwich with littering after they were found along East Main Street early Sunday allegedly drinking beer and discarding containers. Each posted a $10 bond which was forfeited.
