Arabs Stall Release Of Hostages In Malaysia
The last 15 hostages aboard a plane were delayed as Arab nations hesitated to grant asylum to five Japanese Red Army terrorists who seized the U S Embassy. City Lawyer Kenneth Derby Dies At 90
Norwalk attorney Kenneth R. Derby age 90, who practiced 53 years after starting in 1910, died Tuesday. Survived by son Donald and daughter Rose Bowlin plus eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services Friday at Heaston Funeral Home with Masonic rites Thursday evening. UPI reports Senator Howard Baker says he is puzzled why someone would break into his Washington home and take nothing. The FBI opened a burglary probe to check for government property or documents missing. FBI Offered Scott 200000 For Patty Hearst Evidence
John Scott said FBI agents offered his son 200000 in cash and immunity on two occasions for cooperation in the Patty Hearst case, claims denied by an FBI spokesman. Hearst was kidnapped in 1974 by the Symbionese Liberation Army and has been missing since. The elder Scott spoke at a Manhattan news conference with his son and daughter-in-law rejecting cooperation with the U.S. government. The FBI suspects Hearst hid in a South Canaan PA farmhouse.
