A bomb blast at the Pan American Airlines terminal in Los Angeles International Airport occurred around 8 15 a m behind the ticket office. At least two people were killed and five to six others critically injured. The explosion centered in an employee locker room.

Prosecutor Owens notes six grand juries this year yielded 119 indictments vs 83 last year.
Huron County Grand Jury exonerates Norwalk Patrolman Gary DeWalt in the July 18 shooting of Richard Hutchinson at a 103 Jefferson St mobile home park. Hutchinson, wanted in Lima on an abduction charge, remains in fair condition at MC Ohio Hospital Toledo. William Owens forms a county Firearms Usage Committee, inviting citizen applicants.
