Four people injured when a car veered off Jefferson Street striking a utility pole. Mrs. Buck 33 Collingsdale Pa and three passengers were treated and released. Wires down and a storm window shattered at 49 Jefferson Street. Buck charged with failure to drive on half the road.
Ptl. William D. Healy a Wakeman native now with the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a Superintendent's Citation of Merit in Columbus for helping rescue an injured man from a burning vehicle on Ohio 58 in Lorain County. Healy and Sgt. Richard A. Fulton used a nearby tractor and fire extinguishers to reach the victim and free him through the left front door. Healy holds an associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College and with wife Margaret has a three month old son, Douglas. Navy recruit David A. Culley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Culley, graduated recruit training at Great Lakes and will report to Electronics Technician A School.
Mrs. Ann Palmer of Albuquerque says her daughter Patricia Kuit, 26, jailed in Mexico City for possession of a small amount of marijuana, faces a lengthy sentence.
