Former astronaut John Glenn said he is definitely interested in running for the U S Senate in Ohio next year though he has not decided yet. He noted Gov Rhodes entering the race would be a factor and stated no plans are set at this time. Norwalk Family Displaced By Third Northside Fire In Nine Months
A Norwalk family of six lost their home at 77 Willard Ave after a 12:45 p.m. Sunday fire. Fire chief Kenneth Link valued the damage at $10,000 with cause undetermined. Dr. E R McLoney offered a temporary home at 7 Stoutenburg Drive. The Red Cross supplied clothing for the children aged 9 to 15. This fire follows two prior city fires on Glover Street last August and November, prompting renewed calls for low income housing.

City Man Timman Honored by VFW in Norwalk
Robert Timman district commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars was feted at a combined testimonial dinner in Norwalk. Mayor Harold Finch presented a plaque and James Allen gave a diamond lapel pin. Timman, commander since last June, received a tape recorder and birthday gifts including a telegram from his son Pat serving aboard the USS Constellation. A dance followed the program. Timman works for Hug Concrete Paving Co. Norwalk. City hearings on rezoning for apartment projects set for Tuesday night with Thomas E Battles and Sofios Community Homes on the agenda.

Dish salesman held on larceny by trick charge
John Yocum a 23 year old dish salesman from Brook Park is held in Huron County jail on a larceny by trick charge after Norwalk police received a complaint from Mary Ann Jones Stovall of Sandusky who paid $94 down for dishes never delivered. He telephoned police and surrendered, arriving at 3 15 and remaining at the station until 8 15.
