Deadline Extended On Airport Campaign Near Norwalk

The Huron County Airport Authority extends the option on a Route 601 site east of Norwalk to May 18 to finish funding for the $60,000 purchase and $20,000 development. Public sub campaigns aim to raise $20,000, with the rest from county, city, and private donors. Chamber of Commerce heads the drive. six volunteers pledged $1,000 each, with 14 more pledges targeted. Man charged in hit and run left boy injured

A 26 year old Grand Avenue man Irvin Jon Oglesby faces charges of leaving the scene after a Sunday hit and run that injured 5 year old Marvin Ebinger of 53 Fruen Street. The boy was treated for possible head injuries at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital.

Two Detained Teens Returned After Hitchhiking Incident

Two runaway teenagers from Ft Wayne Indiana aged 14 and 16 were picked up by a motorist while hitchhiking Sunday. The driver, after hearing their story, alerted Bellevue police and held them for Juvenile Court. One girl remains in detention. the 14 year old is housed as a ward of Erie County Juvenile Court.

New London Girl to Lead One Night of Molly Brown

18 year old Mary Donaldson of rural New London will star as Molly for the final performance on April 30. She is understudy to Joan Arlin who will play Molly for other shows. Mary is a 1966 New London High School graduate who studied at The College of Wooster before returning home to help family. She plans to resume studies this fall and pursue voice training.
