Voters in Huron County must register by Monday to participate in the May 7 primary. The Board of Elections office at 180 Milan Ave will stay open 8 30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for last minute registrations and first day for absentee voting or absentee ballot applications.
Huron County deputies Capt. Lloyd Smith and Lt. John Osterland were dispatched to Xenia on Friday in a communications van with citizens band and police radio gear to assist after a tornado struck the Ohio city of about 25,000 this week.

The indictment accuses destroying evidence and pressuring employees to lie to the FBI. potential penalties include up to 55 years in prison and fines.
In Xenia Ohio a National Guardsman was killed and another feared dead after a fire at a downtown furniture store used as a relief station. Two guardsmen were treated for minor burns, and rescue workers searched rubble amid a tornado disaster that left about 1,000 homeless and 35 dead. Curfews and a state of emergency were in place as 1,500 guardsmen assisted with cleanup and relief efforts.
The Kaiser-Wells Pharmacy building at Main Street and Benedict Avenue may lease to Fabric Post Inc. Edward Prack says the lease is effective now while Rose Bates notes it has not been signed. Fabric Post would rent the downstairs and remodel. Kaiser-Wells occupied the site since 1941 until 1973.
NEW YORK UPI The proposed anti-gigolo bill would allow a divorced husband to stop alimony if his ex wife lives with another man. State Sen. Paul Bookson said fair play drives the measure and noted child support would not be affected. The bill would require a court action to prove continual cohabitation without marriage.
The final performance of Oklahoma will be given at the Norwalk High School auditorium at 8 tonight.
