Five local men receive official induction into elected offices on Monday in the Civic center. Edward V. Hanrahan will become Cook County's new state's attorney, joined by Sidney Olsen as county recorder and F Emmett Morrissey as Circuit Court judge. Louis B. Garippo, Robert J. PFC Frank W. Garapolo was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism and the Purple Heart after being killed in action in Vietnam May 27. At Ft. Sheridan his parents accepted the medals as the citation lauds his bravery with Battery B, 4th Battalion, 42nd Artillery, 4th Infantry Division.
