Hospital Forms New Scout Post

Simons Day Camp Opens on July 1

Almira Simons park at 1640 N Drake invites boys and girls ages 8 to 12 to enroll for eight weeks from July 1 to August 23. Kelvyn Park Senior Wins Illinois Education Scholarship

Kelvyn Park High School senior Janette Anderson has earned an Illinois teacher education scholarship covering tuition and some fees. She will attend a summer program for incoming freshmen at Northeastern Illinois State College and continue studies at Kelvyn Park during the year. Janette was very active during her four years at Kelvyn Park.

Logan Y Opens Two Outdoor Pools in Logan Square

The Logan Square YMCA adds two outdoor pools at 3600 Fullerton with lessons 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily Monday through Saturday. The 15 by 35 foot teaching pool and a circular 15 foot diameter wading pool will serve lessons, youth recreation, and family swims with evening hours and splash parties organized by Ronald Thompson and Oscar Wesolowski.

Logan YMCA Camp Scholarships Offer Limited Spots

Logan Square YMCA announces limited co ed scholarships for residential Camp Hastings at Lake Villa and in city Day Camp for Logan Square children. Transfer Students Must Register In Advance

Chicago public high school students who move during the summer must register at their new schools before July 5 or between August 6 and August 23. Dr. Ann M. Lally superintendent of district 5 says Foreman Kelvyn Park and Schurz High schools will register transfers on those dates to ensure a program for the opening day of the 1968 69 school year.

Destroyer Charles R. Ware Hosts Indian Navy Open House

Storekeeper Seaman Bruce W. Sikora son of Mr and Mrs Casimir Sikora of 4320 Dickens visited Coch in India aboard the destroyer USS Charles R Ware. The ship held an open house for Indian Navy officers enlisted men civil leaders and American community members.
