City records show 5.5 million spent on West-Northwest Side buildings in first four months of 1968 with 4.4 million in new construction. Pioneer YMCA and Clergy Launch Adventure Club for Youth
Humboldt area clergy join Pioneer YMCA to offer a summer Adventure Club for grade school youths in the Humboldt Garfield community. The program features forest study, cook-outs, hikes, crafts, drama and art workshops, trips to Chicago museums, and five centers with professional staff. Four week sessions run June 2 to July 19 and July 22 to August 16 with fees of 14 dollars for four weeks or 26 dollars for eight weeks, with limited enrollments on a first come basis.
