Will Examine Fire Risks in North Platte Inspection

A frame building on Dewey Street south of the Keith Theatre suffered heavy fire damage at 9 o clock this morning. Occupied by Mr and Mrs Narros and John Poulos of North Platte candy kitchen, part used for storage and candy manufacture. Fire smoldered in attic before breaking through roof and walls. under control after fire department arrival. Household furnishings uninsured. building owned by Arther McNamara carried insurance.

Violin Recital by Carl-Frederick Steckelberg at Masonic Hall

Carl-Frederick Steckelberg of the University School of Music will perform a violin recital at the Masonic hall next Friday at 8 30 pm. Admission is 60 cents with tickets available at Clinton's. The violinist has international reputation from performances across Germany Holland Belgium France England Ireland and other nations. He has appeared in major U S cities earning widespread critical acclaim.

Auction of Range Horses at North Platte Stock Yards

Two cars of range horses will be sold at the old stock yards in North Platte on Saturday June 22 at 2:00 PM. The sale includes several broke and halter broke horses and two gentle young ponies. C. A. Moors oversees the auction.
