Vic to tackle army transport task at Ft Riley

Anderson, after traveling to Ft Riley Kansas to address army transport issues, will oversee heavy troop and traffic movement. Shooting Affair at Fallon Ends With Hospital Transport

A farm hand Vanneman was shot on the left side and abdomen by A Steinhausen of the Bige farm at O Fallon after a quarrel. Vanneman was brought to Nurse Brown Hospital Wednesday for treatment. Steinhausen faces charges and information will be filed.

County Board of Equalization Meets to Hear Complaints

Flag Day Exercises Draw Crowd At Diks Home

A sizable crowd attended Flag Day exercises hosted by the Diks at Nate home last evening. Members of the G A R and W R C were present. Stamp's orchestra played patriotic airs and the Elks Quartet offered two selections. Wit the Miss Elder and Master Tout gave flag recitations.
