News of the Whipple Farmers Union Friday gathering
A large crowd attended the Whipple Farmers Union program. Rouse and Russell Marshall cut wood, Sharley Barnard and family visited Curtis, and the Merry Workers club met with Cecil Schwartz. New officers were elected: President Mila Marshall and Secretary Eimer Dowell. Marshall assisted Curtis to town for medical stitches.

Kanota oats praised as high yielding seed from Noble County
The Kanota oat developed by Manhattan A and M College is claimed to outyield Texas Red by 15 to 25 bushels per acre under identical conditions. It is described as winter rust proof and prolific with heavy straw, weighing 88 pounds per bushel. Seed is said to be pure and in limited Noble County supply at $1.25 per bushel with sacks at cost. Texas Red oats are offered at 74 cents per bushel with flexible supply and ready delivery from Red Star Elevator.
