Prairie City Scenes Mark Twentieth Wedding Anniversary
In Prairie City Mrs. L. Springer Ramsey and Levi Springer celebrate twenty years since their 1879 wedding. A Union Hall party of 17 guests, with speeches by Rev J J Mitchell and others, featured a live toast, music, and gifts including 130 pieces of Haviland china. The event stands as one of the community’s most charming social occasions. Also noted is Hub Cash Grocery moving to a strictly cash system October 16, offering lower prices.
