Riot at Mitchellsville Reform School Escape Ends in Damage
About 7 o clock Sunday night twenty of the state reform school’s worst girls escaped. Three hours later they were captured and returned, incensing others who rioted. They smashed windows, furniture, crockery and fixtures causing about 10000 dollars in damage. Police from Des Moines aided, and peace was restored Monday.
