Grandma Russell stays with daughter before moving to town with 8. G. Russell. Mrs Hixon loses her house to fire east of George Newell's with few losses. Will Ammons handles a runaway team and farms report corn harvests. The Sweeney and Nellie Vance family visits, Endavor delegates return from state convention, and a wave of routine fall work and neighborhood chatter fills the column.
