Thanksgiving Aftermath and City Gatherings Reported
Thanksgiving day brought dreary outdoors but warm indoor gatherings across the city. Churches held union services led by Rev R F Chambers and ministers from across the city, with a large collection for the poor and music by local soloists and an organist. Families hosted extended reunions at numerous homes, listing many relatives and guests from Grinnell, Des Moines, Prairie City, Kellogg, and beyond, sharing turkey dinners and festive toasts. Revivals continue at First M E Church under Rev J C Willits, with growing attendance, several conversions, and plans to extend into next week.
