He left a verbal resignation at Winchester Hall and will follow with a letter. Pena acquitted of eluding police in 1938 chase case
Frederick County jurors acquitted Ester Maria Pena, a Washington DC schoolteacher, of attempting to elude police during a slow speed pursuit on U.S. 15 near Thurmont on June 12 1938. The trial followed two days of testimony and deliberations by five women and seven men.

CPS probes dog attack on 4 year old in Frederick County
