A foreign looking man, Swenson, wandered toward Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay with a shadowed intent. Police detained him after he claimed residence at the New York Yorky Hotel and said his aim was to see the president. McElmoyle Not Guilty In Murder Trial Former Deputy Acquitted
In Nesquehoning Carbon County a jury found Harry McElmoyle a former coal and train policeman not guilty of murdering Patrick Sharpe a striker during last year’s coal strike.
