Rotorex Workers Return After Walkersville Strike
Sixty of 341 Rotorex electrical workers at Walkersville resumed duties after a month-long strike by Local 133. Company spokesman Josh Rich said operations faced no problems as crews returned to restore equipment. The plant, which makes compressors for air conditioners, schedules layoffs seasonally. Remaining workers’ return date was not provided. The union voted to accept a three-year contract totaling a $1.30 pay rise, far above the initial company offer.
