Wilhide Family Reunion Held at Taylorsville Church
The Wilhide family of Eyler's Valley held their second annual reunion on September 12 moving from Staley Park to Taylorsville Methodist Church due to stormy weather. Prizes went to oldest lady Mrs Mabel Wilhide and oldest man Guy Blizzard, with awards for longest married couple Mr and Mrs Guy Blizzard and longest distance traveled Don Keller. A business meeting elected officers led by President Paul Wilhide Sr with Paul Wilhide Jr as chairman and Mrs Robert D Cole as secretary treasurer. The original German name Woolhide was noted and 8 of 14 children survive. The next picnic is planned for the second Sunday in September at Staley Park.

Sp. Five Gary A. Campbell receives a Fort Detrick Certificate of Achievement from Lt. Col. Selyon H. French. Campbell, 26, is San Jose born and educated at California Polytechnic College. He formerly worked as a mechanical engineer at IBM in San Jose and plans to resume that role after military service.
