Cement Plant at Lime Kiln Nearing Full Operation
Alpha Portland Cement Co on the Lime Kiln site in Easton is nearing completion under MacDonald Engineering of Chicago. Key Alpha men Coulson Ziegler and Anckaitis have guided two years of work, with local suppliers and a new packing system expanding reach. Production will serve ready mix, concrete products, dealers, and contractors within about 150 miles, with a 2,350 ton daily stone intake and 13,200 customers per year.
