Frederick County Christian Youth Council will host a Sunday picnic from 3 to 8 pm at Mehrl H. Rainburg farm near Utica. Protests churches invited. attendees should bring their own supper. Activities include softball, badminton, swimming, and games. A sunset vesper at 7 pm features Rev. Roger Keech and local leaders.
Urbana Circuit Methodist Men plan a Friday meeting at Urbana Methodist Church. Rev Harpold will present a twenty minute safety film And Then There Were Four about driver carelessness, followed by a color film From The News Frederick Md Horses Ever Mountain Side showing logging work in the West. Open meeting with refreshments to follow. Nelson W. Myers Jr presides. Peter J. McGuire suggested Labor Day in 1882.
