New warning system may reduce rollovers by tractor-trailers
Oak Ridge researchers and the Federal Highway Administration will test a sensor based rollover warning system on three 18 wheelers from Dayton to Orlando along I 75 to cut rollovers. The test uses cab computer readouts to alert drivers seconds before a rollover and warns about curves with radio transponders along the route.
