Tragedy as 30 Month Old Girl Dies Under Truck
A two and a half year old girl, Shearon Rudy, was killed when she fell under her father's truck in Linden Hills. Investigators said the child was playing in the yard as Richard B Rudy started the vehicle, driving about ten feet before the impact. Shearon, who had just turned two on April 2, is survived by her parents a sister Jeanette nine and brother Kenneth. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Milk Cargo Spills After Tractor Trailer Crash on Route 15

Drunken Man Shepherd Jailed After High Speed Chase
A Hagerstown man, James Elmo Shepherd, drove a Mercury at speeds over 90 mph in a chase from Hagertown to Frederick, then into a field before a roadblock ended the pursuit. He was jailed 90 days with fines of 150 dollars and 100 dollars for speeding. State Trooper Mutchner testified the car, owned by no one in particular, initially had a hitchhiker driving it. Shepherd blamed domestic troubles for his actions and admitted drinking earlier. Plus, several other local traffic cases were recorded, including fines for reckless driving and license violations.
