Annexation Request Denied for Moser Family Plan in Thurmont
Thurmont planning commission rejected a 41.9 acre high density annexation requested by the Moser Family to allow 320 houses. The plan, tied to Maple Run Golf Course, proposed townhouses and condos as a resort style community with about 130 units, but was deemed inconsistent with the regional plan. The panel unanimously denied the request, with mayoral action pending next month. The meeting also approved expanding Ryan Homes with seven buildings and expanded parking including trailer spaces.
