Site B landfill bids opened after rebid delays project
Frederick County commissioners opened seven bids for the Site B landfill construction, separating out administration and maintenance costs for potential removal. Highest bid was Kibler Construction Co. Inc. at 11.1 million. lowest 8.94 million from H. E. Sargent Inc. Other bids ranged up to 10.7 million. Optional items include Reich's Ford Road improvements and perimeter fencing. Bids restricted to the initial bidders, delaying schedule and possibly pushing the opening to March with a state extension for the first landfill into fall 1996.
