Donors and volunteers honored at Red Cross dinner in Frederick County
The third annual Blood Service Award Dinner at Urbana Fire Hall honored 13 groups with 100 percent or near 100 percent quotas. James A Grove noted the program serves hospital patients nationwide while Emmitsburg resumes its resident trooper program with a six month federal grant of 3000 dollars and possible future funding. A Mount Saint Marys College scholarship named Father Philip A Barrett Prize will be awarded annually to a student for best research project with faculty supervision and adherence to integrity and quality.
