Motherwell Hearing Delays Indictment in Putney Slaying
Sierra County grand jury continued Monday on whether to indict Larry Lord Motherwell 43 in the slaying of Pearl Putney 72 of Washington DC widow. The case centers on a last fling trip across the country with $50 000 possibly missing. Proceedings involved witnesses from Rio Oso Burlingame and San Francisco and a Western Union manager.
