Plans Completed for Hallowe'en Parade in Frederick
The Junior Chamber of Commerce reports plans completed for the annual Hallowe en parade Thursday night with at least 50 bands fire companies and groups expected. Mayor Ramsburg will lead off the parade followed by the Board of Aldermen. Parking restrictions will apply on streets in the parade route and near the Armory where parade participants will park. Prizes exceed 50 for adult and children’s groups and entries are still welcome through Wednesday evening.

Two Car Collisions In Frederick This Morning
Two accidents occurred in Frederick this morning involving backing collisions. At 9:55 at Lee Place and West Seventh Street Claire C. Julian of LaPlata suffered 75 dollars damage when a truck driven by Joseph H Brown of Baltimore backed into his car. Brown’s vehicle sustained no damage and no charges were filed. Investigator Cp. William Mutchner reported both cars in the north lane. Brown was driving for Branch Motor express. In a second incident shortly after ten Mamie Guyton of Jefferson backed into Milton H Blank of Frederick causing about 50 dollars damage to Guyton’s car and 875 dollars to Blank’s. Officer Nathan Dorsey investigated. Blank was charged with failing to grant right of way.

Former Hood College teacher Sally Wills Holland dies
Miss Sally Wills Holland, a former Hood College English professor and head of the dramatics department who directed the Marionnettes, died last Friday in Richmond, Virginia. She taught about 26 years at Hood, then five years at Meredith College in Raleigh New York. Funeral services were held in Richmond with burial at Wilmington. Memorial fund contributions were requested for Meredith College.
