Youths glimpse possible careers during Hood College Career Day
About a dozen youths from Middletown and area schools toured Hood College Career Center on Career Day 2000. Students participated in a pretend job interview with 12 year old Ben Swope, explored sites at Frederick Airport and Catoctin Park, and saw professionals at the sheriff’s office, Home Depot, fire departments, and a veterinary clinic. Organizers aim to connect students to school and future careers, encouraging them to pursue interests and see practical paths beyond teaching.
