Way Station revives Frederick Tea Room restoration
Way Station Inc preserves Frederick s tea room dating to the 1790s and 1830s by opening new program offices and a nursing unit. The project adds four housing units in two 1930s cabins to support child programs. About 150 attended the ribbon cutting after months of work costing over 400 000 with funding from a 116 000 community development grant, 210 000 in bonds loans, and 88 000 from the organization.
