The sun will return over the next several days with warmer temperatures. Highs are expected in the 60s and nights in the 50s. The latest reading topped at 69 degrees at the Sound Source weather station atop the News-Post building in downtown Frederick after a 54 degree overnight low.
At 6 a m a miscellaneous alarm sounded on Dixon Road near Hyattstown and Urbana. A Walter King Plumbing unit reported an automatic alarm at 3 12 p m on Kings Court near Jefferson Madison and McMurray streets. A vehicle fire occurred at 3 24 p m near United in Urbana. A house fire was reported at 6 14 p m on Price s Distillery Road in Green Valley.

Four men James S Snowden Jr Lewis D Weedon Jr Gerald St Claire Burke and Morris Ellsworth Dotson were indicted on armed robbery charges in Frederick. Bonds ranged from 250000 to 1 million with no trial dates set. The crimes involved four local shops August through September totaling about 10000, with suspects using a BB gun replica.
Police reported two men attempted a strongarm robbery at a Germantown 7Eleven on Wisteria Drive at 1 30 a m. A woman’s arm was yanked and her watch taken during a brief struggle before the suspects fled toward Md 118. The first suspect is a black male, 30, 5 11, 170 pounds, brown eyes, black hair with a goatee, wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark pants. The second suspect is about 20, 5 9, 170 pounds, brown eyes, short black braids with a goatee, wearing a beige jacket and green sweatpants with Hawks lettering.

A 25 year old Germantown man Kevin Patrick Kraft was found guilty of seven counts of arson and conspiracy after a 10 day Montgomery County Circuit Court trial. He pleaded guilty to one count of calling a false alarm later the same day. The verdict covers arson at a Poolesville historic house on White's Ferry Road and an employer van fire on the Capitol Beltway, plus a fake incendiary device in his mailbox. Total damages exceed 50000 dollars. He faces further prison time after sentencing on December 6.
A Walkersville mother turned in her 16 year old son to the Maryland State Police after finding drug paraphernalia at home. The teen admitted ownership and said he had been arrested previously and treated at Finan Center in Cumberland. He was charged with juvenile delinquency and taken to Finan Center.
A 16-year-old girl came to Middletown High School intoxicated and caused a disturbance prompting school officials to summon the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. She was not charged criminally as no alcohol was found on school property, was taken by ambulance to Frederick Memorial Hospital, and faces possible five day suspension or expulsion.
