Artworks keep memory alive for slain son
Dorothea Barrick honors her late son Alex with butterflies and sunflowers in his artwork. Walkersville planners oppose rezoning bid
Walkersville Planning Commission voted 5 1 Tuesday night to recommend denial of a rezoning request by 103-29 Limited Partnership for about 224 acres on Crum Road and Md 194 from agricultural to low density residential. If approved the plan would add up to 378 single family lots. Planning staff also urged denial citing insufficient school capacity water hookups and sewer capacity.
