Frederick County Flags Changes to New Design Road Plan

Frederick County Commissioners approved about 68 thousand dollars in change orders on the New Design Road project and its Ballenger Creek bridge. The 3.2 mile four lane road costs 6.2 million dollars, with the bridge portion at 1.6 million. KCI Technologies handles design. changes aim to reduce future construction costs through private sector median breaks and pipes integration. The project includes a joint use median break for a Giant Food store.
