Inventions Swamp U S Patent Office Deluge of Requests
The U S Patent Office struggles to keep up with a flood of new inventions after wartime delays. Officials note a predicted rise beyond 1029 filings last year as secret wartime tech and lawyer shortages boosted demand. Space for records remains tight as hundreds of detailed plans pour in daily. The office compares backlog to a cemetery as it adds new cases.
