Hollywood Leaders Warn on Communism Infiltration
Hollywood figures headlined by Art Arthur executive director of the Motion Picture Industry Council warned Civitan group in Frederick that Communist infiltration is a blueprint for civic takeovers. Arthur cited tactics of group briefings and staged cheers to sway votes, urging cross‑ideological unity to defeat subversion and protect American democracy. The event also featured Miss Kellogg on prison life and Miss Reynolds on USO Korea, with John Ford introducing the Hollywood guests and local officials attending.
