New officers for the coming year were elected at the annual Future Farmers banquet in Frederick. William Whitlson of Oakland was named president, with Frank McFarland of Finistone as vice president and Louis Ahalt of Middle River as secretary. The gathering honored outstanding FFA members and awarded the Future Farmers’ degree to Wikisen, plus honorary degrees to Dr. Cotterman and Charles Remoberg. A large list of educators, judges, and local officials attended, with songs led by C. T. C. Stull and remarks from various county and state figures.
